Ham and Legs Show #103
1st our thoughts and prayers are with those in Japan after that devastating earthquake and tsunami. If you would like to help, please text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 to the
international relief fund for Japan. It's easy and will help them and others worldwide in crisis.
Now, onto more local news and disasters:
Wisconsin, Michigan and Arizona have all lost their collective minds.
The WI GOP voted to strip unions of their collective bargaining rights, to allow the Governor to fire anyone who protests or goes on strike or calls in a during a coordinated sick day....all this happened potentially illegally. The Attorney General of WI got some thinking to do on this. And Sen. Fitzgerald admits on FOX that this has NOTHING to do with the budget and everything to do with politics. A link to the video here .
Michigan wants to be able to declare fiscal emergencies all over the state, which would then allow the Governor to appoint an Emergency Manager to go into a city, town or county and fix the problem. It would allow the EM to fire all elected officials, if he or she sees fit, it would allow the EM to close the town up or sell it, yes SELL IT to a corporation to run...not kidding.
Arizona well, that state wants to nullify all Federal Laws it doesn't like.
Also, several states are attempting to disenfranchise voters by passing new laws designed to stop "voter fraud" which is not even a problem.
Now, when the Tea Party was yelling, "I want my country back!". Ham thought they were ridiculous...perhaps they knew something then that we didn't?
An Oregon burglar calls the cops on the homeowner whose home he is burglarizing while the homeowner does the same....weird.
Rep. Peter King (R, NY) hosted hearings on extremism in the Muslim community...but not extremism with any other group...McCarthy much?
And much more! Hope you enjoy. 2 year anniversary is next week, and no, Ham hasn't compiled anything.
Oh, and we're back to Friday recordings through mid May...ask Legs.
Talk at you later!

Hey there...
I listened to the show last night and thought it was awesome. I listened sans socks in my bedtime clothes. I loved the story about the burglar and the homeowner who both called the police. That was comedy.
I found this interesting article about the Japanese people's resilience and their sense of compassion for each other. The whole world could learn a lesson from them.

Keep up the good work.
