Ham and Legs Show #110

Our thoughts and prayers go to those in the Southeast who've been devastated by the record tornadoes that hit this past week.  If you would like to help, you can text Red Cross to 90999 and donate $10 from your cell phone.

Legs has some interesting news about the Westboro Baptist Church and a successful stop to their planned protest of a fallen Marine in Mississippi.

So, are we finally done with the birther crap now?  Oh, now the new argument is he shouldn't have gotten into Columbia or Harvard....look if he were white, we all know none of this would've ever been an issue.  Now, apparently, the right is blaming Obama for the birther issue...really,...REALLY?  The President is a natural born citizen, get over it everyone, and let's move on....

So, remember at the end of 2010 the 9/11 Responder bill was being held up by the GOP, and then it finally passed, well there is a little provision in there that is ridiculous on so many levels about screening those who got sick or injured to be cross checked by the FBI to see if any of them are terrorists, and if their name matches someone on the watch list, well, too bad you have a horrible debilitating disease, officer, but your name is on this list, so no aid for you.  Rep. Cliff Stearns (R. FL) is responsible for this hogwash.

The SCOTUS just ruled that consumers have no right to sue large companies, like AT&T, Verizon, Time Warner, most (if not all) credit card companies as a solo complainent or in  class actions.  SCOTUS feels that arbitration is just fine, eventhough, we sign credit card agreements with no negotiating back and forth....chalk up another one for big business.  See why Presidents matter, SCOTUS justices do this sort of thing that will affect our every day lives.

Now, you remember Karl Rove's fund raising entity, American Crossroads, and the Koch brothers' Americans for Prosperity?  And how they don't have to disclose their donors?  Well, former WH aides Bill Burton and Sean Sweeney have decided to start their own fund raising arm for Dems for the 2012 election...now the President is all for full disclosure of donors, and has not changed his mind on this, but a spokesperson for American Crossroads is accusing the President of hypocrisy.  It would seem that they don't like it when the Dems play by the GOP's rules....

Remember when TX Governor, Rick Perry, wanted to secede from the Union?  Well, he's now complaining that he's not getting enough Federal help with the wildfires.......perhaps secession isn't the answer, eh?  Oh, and by the way the Feds have sent support....Does Gov. Perry have NO shame??

As promised here is a link to Adlers Appetite and their tour dates.  Ham's boy is the one on the far left...yeah, he's prettier than she is.  She is aware.

Also, the BPPV thing Ham talks about, if you are interested in learning more about Ham's dizziness, check it out here.

Plus much more!  Hope you enjoy this week's installment.

Talk at you later.

I'm watching these news stories, and a lot of things don't add up. Nobody knew about the ten foot tall guy living behind the giant wall for 5 years with no internet or phone service? In a country where the guy is thought to be hiding, that profile doesn't spark suspicion? But this isn't what bother's me the most. "Million dollar mansion" is what I have a problem with. I thought housing prices were out of control in San Jose. Are you kiddin' me? My pals and I built a nicer fort in my back yard when we were 8. I didn't know farm land in Abbottobad was so valuable or that concrete was the new gold. And this nonsense about observing Islamic burial rights? I don't think the 9/11 victim's were given much consideration, including the hundreds of Muslims killed. Besides, that's just spin. The truth is, and this is way inside info so keep it on the DL - he was a Neptune Society client.
