Ham and Legs Show #114
Ham and Legs send their deepest condolences to those who lost their loved ones in the tornadoes that hit Missouri this past week. If you would like to help. Please visit:
The American Red Cross to donate to the tornado relief and remember Japan is still in the midst of their tsunami and earthquake clean up, they could still use help as well.
Now....for the other news....
The Senate voted on the Ryan budget, and lo and behold all GOP Senators except Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine, Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts, and Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Rand Paul of Kentucky....you read that right, Rand Paul voted against it...the measure didn't pass, but all those in the GOP who voted for it, should be in for a NY 26 surprise...
Speaking of NY 26, that was the seat that the Craig's List Congressman had to give up, it was a GOP stronghold, the Dems never thought it could be taken away, well, until the Ryan budget and the GOP candidate said she would've voted for it, so...she didn't get in and the Dem, Hochul did! This could bode well for the Dems in 2012, if they don't screw it up.
Eric Cantor, House Majority leader said Congress won't pay for Missouri disaster unless spending is cut elsewhere. He's all for tax breaks and oil subsidies that aren't paid for, but aid to those in need, .... well, THAT is where we need to balance things..how DOES he sleep at night?
Rep. Pete DeGraaf of Mulvane KS (R) equated carrying extra abortion coverage for women to be prepared for rape to having a spare tire in his trunk. NOT KIDDING.
Legs talks about the Boehner and his lack of power over his members...hee hee.

Hey there H&L,
Just read this article...
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20067591-503544.html?tag=pop
I was wondering what you thought of it and if you think that Sarah Palin is really so dumb that she thinks she doesn't need the mainstream media... OR... if she thinks that the American public is dumb enough to actually vote for her in 2012. I mean, she won't talk to mainstream media? REALLY? But she's riding around in a bus that every mainstream media outlet has a picture of and she's making stops to talk to people for....what? And we're supposed to believe that she's not running for president? Seriously? Who's the dumb one here?
You know I used to give her credit for not going away quietly after John McCain threw her under the bus after they lost the election in 2008. But now I wish she'd go away...far, far away.
I'm going to breathe now before Ham's BP goes up.
Hugs,
- Julie
